  • Ep. 01 – Creativity is in all of us!

Creativity is in all of us.

We all have the power to come up with great ideas, execute them, and turn them into everything we want.

However, some people excel while others don’t because those who fail haven’t realized the power that lies inside. Think creativity is meant for artists, writers, and painters only; Well, think again.

It takes creativity to start and end your day right.

The main reason why you can balance personal relationships, social relationships, and work is that you are focused and creative.

Think of all the things you thought were impossible in the past. Something that you managed to attain or overcome.

Think of all the bad breaks you’ve had and how you managed to navigate them and experience your breakthrough. Think of all the storms you’ve weathered and the challenges you’ve overcome.

The evidence that you can do and be anything you want.

Creativity is the ability to develop original and new ideas that will become valuable or profitable. It happens in all areas of life and can be achieved by anyone despite their background, academic level, or relationships. All you must do is trust yourself.

Recognize that some of the best ideas came from people who had failed countless times before achieving their breakthroughs. Don’t give up if you don’t come up with a great idea the first time or fail to succeed in something you thought would be helpful.

Original ideas are products of a series of bad ideas. The only way to develop an innovative idea is to let your mind wander and embrace the fact that you will come up with concepts that aren’t so great.

That is how you train your mind, and that is how you gain confidence in yourself and get a step closer to your brilliant idea.

So, if you’ve been thinking about writing your first novel, do it. Do it if you’ve been thinking about launching an online marketing business. If you want to start an eCommerce store, do it. If you want to create your first painting, do it.

Don’t let fear of failure stop you. If things don’t go as expected, don’t despair. Keep trying, retrace your steps, know where you went wrong, and correct your mistakes.

If you must try something else, go ahead and give it a try. Substitute the “what if this doesn’t work out” mentality with a “There is still so much I can do” attitude.

So, how do we recognize the difference between a brilliant idea and a bad one to succeed?

The key to turning a simple idea into massive success is knowing the difference between a brilliant idea and a bad one.

Step 01:

Do your research!  Don’t jump headfirst and start investing in something you aren’t sure of.

  • Check if someone is already doing what you intend to do.
  • Determine whether there is value in what you are going to do.

For example, search for the most popular meditation apps available to launch a meditation app. Is there a market for them? And Do people find the apps valuable?

Step 02:

Consider available resources.

Do you have enough time to create the app? Do you have enough money to hire a developer? Is it worth the investment? What do you intend to gain? And do you have the time and capital to market your app and make it successful? If so, go ahead and launch your app.

If you notice no market demand, you don’t have enough resources, or you aren’t as passionate about it as you are about something else, move on to the next idea.

Conclusion...

Doing both steps will help you avoid investing your time, money, or energy into things you will only give up on in the long run.

It also ensures you only make time for what you believe in and is key to working towards your vision despite how many times you fall.

What separates high achievers from underachievers is that they can distinguish between a brilliant idea and an average one.

If you want your idea to become valuable and useful, know the steps to ensure that happens.

Recognize the importance of generating new ideas and separating great from not-so-good ones. That is the only way to succeed.

Top 7 ways to spark your creativity.

  1. Be alone for at least 20 minutes weekly, and don’t think about work.
  2. Take a 30-minute walk.
  3. Sit or lay down in a quiet environment.
  4. Be consistent – for example, watch motivational videos or podcasts.
  5. Generate as many ideas as you can. Good or bad.
  6. Write down every idea that comes into your mind. Have an ‘idea book.’
  7. Do more of what you love.

Wishing you a fantastic and fruitful week ahead!
